Neoliberalism, education and human capital: Pillar of the deconstruction of the democratic order

Resumo: The article initially seeks to understand the contours and contexts that conditioned the construction of the neoliberal subject in contemporary capitalist societies, which is constantly shaped by neoliberal reasoning in order to meet market expectations and ensure that the gears of this system continue to operate. After clarifying the constitution of this neo-subject, the article also seeks to understand the role of education in this process of maintaining the status quo through its subordination to the business logic of accumulation and reproduction of capital. The discussion is completed with considerations on the following question: Is the neoliberal logic that rules contemporary capitalism a threat to democracy?

Después de aclarar la constitución de este neosujeto, el artículo también busca comprender el papel de la educación en este proceso de mantenimiento del statu quo a partir de su subordinación a la lógica empresarial de acumulación y reproducción del capital. El razonamiento se completa con consideraciones sobre la siguiente pregunta: ¿Es la lógica neoliberal que rige el capitalismo contemporáneo una amenaza para la democracia?L'article cherche d'abord à comprendre les contours et les contextes qui ont conditionné la construction du sujet néolibéral dans les sociétés capitalistes contemporaines, lequel est constamment façonné par la raison néolibérale afin de répondre aux attentes du marché et d'assurer que les rouages de ce système continuent de fonctionner. Après avoir clarifié la constitution de ce néo-sujet, l'article cherche également à comprendre le rôle de l'éducation dans ce processus de maintien du statu quo à partir de sa subordination à la logique commerciale d'accumulation et de reproduction du capital. L'argumentation est complétée par des considérations sur la question suivante: La logique néolibérale qui régit le capitalisme contemporain est-elle une menace pour la démocratie?O artigo busca inicialmente entender os contornos e contextos que condicionaram a construção do sujeito neoliberal nas sociedades capitalistas contemporâneas, o qual é constantemente moldado pela razão neoliberal a fim de atender as expectativas do mercado e garantir que as engrenagens desse sistema continuem em funcionamento.
