Black Thought in debate: ideas of Ronilso Pacheco and Emicida

The article aims to identify whether the ideas of pastor Ronilso Pacheco and rapper Emicida dialogue with the interpretive keys of black thought. To this end, pastor's books will be mobilized as well as interviews given by Emicida to the newspaper “Le Monde Diplomatique Brasil” in 2018 and to the program “Roda Viva”, from TV Cultura, on July 27, 2020, seeking to identify the relationship of both with Brazilian black thought and their reflections on issues of the current reality. As for the methodology adopted, bibliographic discussions will be held in the two initial segments of the work, as well as a discourse analysis for Emicida's interviews. Thus, it aims to highlight new horizons of interpretation of reality, contributing to the formulation of different analytical and investigative possibilities about contemporary Brazil, making the voices of subjects historically invisible and marginalized by official and hegemonic narratives emerge and resonate. We have the intention to demonstrate the interlocutions between the selected authors and social action, understanding the need to blacken public policies and to understand the reality through decolonized perspectives and through the black experience.
