Procura-se compreender os determinantes emocionais e sociais envolvidos neste êxito que ocorre em condições supostamente desfavoráveis, como o de privação de liberdade. A hipótese inicial é a de que relacionamentos significativos podem ser decisivos para a superação das dificuldades de aprendizagem. Para tanto, foram realizadas entrevistas com adolescentes que cumprem medidas socioeducativas quando internados na Fundação CASA; interpretação de desenhos produzidos por eles enquanto eram entrevistados; entrevistas com professores alfabetizadores de unidades da Fundação CASA. A partir das contribuições de Donald Wood Winnicott, relativas à importância do ambiente, da experiência de holding, objetos e fenômenos transicionais, limite e espaço para proteção, do quadro de referência e do alojamento para o atendimento de crianças com o que ele chamou de comportamento antissocial, o trabalho reflete sobre os sentidos que o espaço da sala de alfabetização e o professor da instituição podem adquirir para os jovens. O trabalho analisa as implicações dos achados da pesquisa para se pensar sobre as condições da escola regular e o que ela ainda precisa conquistar para garantir a seus alunos uma experiência significativaAbstract: The present work aims to investigate the reasons why many children failed recurrently in their literacy process at school, although they were able to be literate in a short time, when following social-education measures and deprived of their liberty at the institutions. It seeks to understand the emotional and social reasons that have been involved in this cases that at first, the conditions are unfavorable - deprivation of liberty. The initial hypothesis is that significant relationships can be crucial to overcome learning disability. For that, interviews were conducted with the teenagers and literacy teachers from CASA. The teenagers who fulfilled socio-educational measures had their drawings interpreted while they were being interviewed. The selection process will be explained in the methodology, as well as an observation of the environment and the behavior of other professionals when present in the classroom. Donald Wood Winnicott¿s contributions related to the environment, holding experience, transitional object and transitional phenomenon, limit and space for protection, reference framework and accommodation for children¿s service with antisocial behavior will be considered to reflect about many meanings that literacy class and teachers in CASA Foundation can have for the teenagers.
