It’s presented in this article an analysis of excerpts from two documentaries on the network of abuses in the US artistic gymnastics team, which was opened wide after a series of accusations made against the team’s doctor, Larry Nassar. The objective is to understand the functioning of testimony, through a discursive approach, articulated to the instance of trauma, focusing on the trial of the doctor who, despite not having been tried by a jury, was obliged by the judge of the case, Rosemarie Aquilina, to listen to the testimonies of all the accusers who decided to pronounce themselves, which produced a scenario of political speech denouncing the attacks and abuses suffered and silenced over the years. In the analyzed documentaries, the testimonies inscribed in the gaps and failures of the legal field take on a political force, constituting an event that updates dominant meanings in a patriarchal society.
