Resumo: The present article describes an account of the experience of using Scratch inserted in a literacy project. This was carried out at the State Center for Professional Education Dr. Ruy Pereira dos Santos, in São Gonçalo do Amarante / RN, in a class of the 1st year of high school and intended to instigate and promote in the participants a reflection about the relationship between identity x local community from research and reading of traditional narratives. For this, a methodology was adopted that privileged the students' autonomy and creativity, who were able to reinvent and to resignify their stories using Scratch. As a result, it was observed that the productions brought through the reinterpretations a positive view on narratives that were previously unknown or reneged.

Este foi executado no Centro Estadual de Educação Profissional Dr. Ruy Pereira dos Santos, em São Gonçalo do Amarante/RN, em uma turma do 1º ano do ensino médio e intencionou instigar e promover nos participantes uma reflexão a respeito da relação identidade x comunidade local a partir de pesquisas e leituras de narrativas tradicionais. Para isso, adotou-se uma metodologia que privilegiasse a autonomia e a criatividade dos alunos, os quais puderam reinventar e ressignificar suas histórias se utilizando do Scratch.
