Challenges and possibilities of the mobile tangible interaction in the context of autistic children education

Resumo: Recent research has explored the use of computer technology with tangible interaction in treating children with autism. At the same time, technologies promoting this kind of interaction are usually complex configuration of physical devices, which is a barrier to their widespread use. This research investigates the use of Tablets to create a system with movable tangible interface that overcomes this barrier. To this end, we proposed and developed the Magiblocks, a system that enables tangible interaction on the surface of a Tablet, and evaluated its use in the recognition of geometric shapes activities. A case study
