Resumo: | Introduction/Objective: Research of a mixed nature that aimed to verify if libraries websites of the Federal Universities of the State of Minas Gerais are adequate in terms of Web accessibility resources. Methodology: In step 1 a bibliographic research was carried out in books and journals and also a documental research by laws, decrees and governmental sites about accessibility. In step 2, the 11 federal universities in the State of Minas Gerais were selected as a sample, where it was requested, by e-mail and the Fala.BR platform, the number of enrolled students, as well as the number of students who declare themselves with some type of disability. In step 3, an automatic evaluation of Web accessibility using the Website Accessibility Simulator Assistant (ASES) service was performed on the websites of the libraries of the 11 institutions in the sample; manual evaluation of web accessibility through accessibility guidelines creating, at the end of the manual evaluation, a list of seven elements that have already been implemented or that could be implemented in library websites, namely: 1) accessibility description; 2) jump menu; 3) contrast; 4) font size; 5) key navigation; 6) Vlibras and; 7) audio description. Results: The survey indicated a low percentage of disabled people inserted in Minas Gerais universities, compared to a study carried out by the Census in 2010. In addition, few libraries have Web accessibility features implemented on their library websites. Conclusion: Finally, the combination of automatic and manual evaluation techniques is essential for a more complete analysis of Web accessibility. |

Conclusion: Finally, the combination of automatic and manual evaluation techniques is essential for a more complete analysis of Web accessibility.
