Resumo: Abstract Reflect on the elements that integrate the management of academic information, concerning the organization and representation, with a view to its retrieval and use. It covers the information produced in the information flow at the core of regulation established by the government, just as its explicit identification of the developments related to information content, management object. The study includes a simplified representation of model information, translated in dimensions and control indicators, which focus group characteristics and criteria to explain the elements of the informational universe in academic management. The empirical object of this research has extended its share in the information environment of a federal university department, in teaching, research and extension in graduate and postgraduate level.

Abarca as informações produzidas no fluxo informacional que estão no centro da regulação instituída pelo governo, da mesma maneira que explicita seus desdobramentos relativos à identificação do conteúdo informacional, objeto de gerenciamento. O estudo inclui um modelo de representação simplificada das informações, traduzidas em dimensões e indicadores de controle, os quais concentram características e agrupam critérios para explicar os elementos do universo informacional na gestão acadêmica.
