Resumo: | This work presents part of a research developed in the Doctorate course of a Postgraduate Program in Education, whose objective was to investigate the implementation of secondary education in the cities of Belo Horizonte - MG and Campo Grande - MS, in a historical- compared, taking as source and object academic productions produced in the graduate programs of two federal universities in these states, between 2004 and 2015. For this specific text, we will discuss how these academic productions characterized your understanding of the concept of elite. In general, we argue that the concept of elite was poorly developed and problematized, since they started from an understanding, already crystallized by traditional historiography, that secondary education was destined to form the “elite”. |

Para este texto específico, discutiremos cómo estas producciones académicas caracterizaron su comprensión del concepto de élite. En general, sostenemos que el concepto de élite estuvo poco desarrollado y problematizado, ya que partieron de un entendimiento, ya cristalizado por la historiografía tradicional, de que la educación secundaria estaba destinada a formar la “élite”.Este trabalho apresenta parte de uma pesquisa desenvolvida no curso de Doutorado de um Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação, cujo objetivo foi investigar a implementação do ensino secundário nas cidades de Belo Horizonte – MG e Campo Grande – MS, numa perspectiva histórico-comparada, tomando como fonte e objeto produções acadêmicas produzidas entre 2004 e 2015 em programas de pós-graduação de duas universidades federais destes estados. Para este texto em específico, vamos discutir como estas produções acadêmicas caracterizaram o seu entendimento sobre o conceito de elite.
