Resumo: | This research aims to study the ideas of educator Maria Montessori and their relationship with architecture. The goal is to present the basis of an architectural design that takes into account the awakening of spontaneous interest of the child, who has the free choice of the material to be handled and thus dictates what they want to learn and at what time. In order to achieve this goal, we presented the ideas of Maria Montessori, their relationship with architecture and two correlates that are close to the ideas she presented. It is highlighted in this study that the Montessori school has a very strong relationship with the surroundings. In each step, or pillar of teaching, we can see that the architecture helps build the ideal environment for this development. Such relationship is placed in the building itself, in relation to the internal and external, in the natural light, in the relationship with nature and animals or in the furniture that makes possible for the child to see the world adapted to your height, allowing, therefore, the relationship between what they learn now and what they will take for their adult life. |

O objetivo é apresentar os fundamentos de um projeto arquitetônico que leve em conta o despertar do interesse espontâneo da criança, que tem a livre escolha do material a ser manipulado e, desta forma, dita o quer aprender e a que tempo. Para alcançar o objetivo, apresentamos as ideias de Maria Montessori, sua relação com a arquitetura e dois correlatos que se aproximam das ideias por ela trazidas. Evidencia-se, neste trabalho que a escola Montessori tem uma relação muito forte com o entorno. Em cada etapa ou pilar do ensino, vemos que a arquitetura ajuda a construir o ambiente ideal para esse desenvolvimento.
