Resumo: Mineral water is widely traded due to the belief in its higher quality compared to water distributed by sanitation companies. In some regions of the country, surveys point out the non-conformity of the quality presented in relation to what is established by Anvisa RDC 274/2005 and by Consolidation Ordinance n. 5/2017. The objective of this work is to analyze the water quality of four brands of mineral water marketed in the city of Maringá / PR to verify compliance with current legislation. The samples were related to 500 mL pet bottles purchased from local stores. The methodology used for pH was ABNT NBR 9251; potassium and sodium, SM 3030 / 3111B / 3111D / 3500-K / 3500; for calcium, SM 3500; for chloride, SM 4500-Cl; for fluoride, SM 4500; for magnesium, SM 3500; for nitrate, SM 4500; and for sulfate SM 4500-E.. 9 physical-chemical parameters were analyzed: pH, calcium, magnesium, potassium, sodium, sulfate, fluoride, nitrate and chloride. The values of these parameters were compared with those presented in the VMPs contained in the current legislation and also compared with the respective values of the labels. In general, all brands showed laboratory values close to the respective values on the label. All brands presented at least one parameter with divergence between the label and the experimental value obtained.

Em algumas regiões do país, pesquisas apontam a não conformidade da qualidade apresentada em relação ao que é estabelecido pela Anvisa RDC 274/2005 e pela Portaria de Consolidação n. 5/2017. O objetivo do presente trabalho é a análise da qualidade da água de quatro marcas de água mineral comercializadas na cidade de Maringá/PR, para a verificação da conformidade com a legislação vigente. As amostras foram relativas a garrafas pet de 500 mL adquiridas no comércio local. A metodologia empregada para pH foi ABNT NBR 9251; potássio e sódio, SM 3030/3111B/3111D/3500-K/3500; para cálcio, SM 3500; para cloreto, SM 4500-Cl; para fluoreto, SM 4500; para magnésio, SM 3500; para nitrato, SM 4500; e para sulfato SM 4500-E. Foram analisados 9 parâmetros físico-químicos: pH, cálcio, magnésio, potássio, sódio, sulfato, fluoreto, nitrato e cloreto. Os valores desses parâmetros foram comparados com os apresentados nos VMPs constantes nas legislações vigentes e comparados também com respectivos valores dos rótulos. De modo geral, todas as marcas apresentaram valores laboratoriais próximos aos respectivos valores constantes do rótulo.
