Resumo: White oats (Avena Sativa) is a graminea widely used in direct planting system, as fall-winter fodder, improving the phisical, chemical and biological conditions of the soil. It also can release allelochemicals in the environment that interfere in growth and development as much in agricultural cultures as weeds. Thereby, this ressearch had as its goal to avaliate the 4 allelopathic effect of oats on corn (Zea mays) and the beggarticks (Bidens pilosa). The experiments were developed in the botanical lab from the Cesumar – UniCesumar University, in incubation camera B.O.D. to 25 degrees, photoperiod of 12 hours, for 7 days. The treatments were formed by different concentrations of oats aqueous extract (0, 25, 50, 75 and 100%). The trial design used was entirely randomised, with five repetitions from each treatment, which was constituted for 25 seeds distributed in gerbox. The data was assessed by variance analysis and the avarage of the treatments compared for Scott Knott test to 5% of significance. The results indicated that the oats aqueous extract didn’t change the percentage of corn germination, however, reduced the lenght of the roots from corn seedlings, as the germinations and lenght of beggarticks seedlings, gradually with the increase of the concentration.
