Resumo: This article seeks to demystify the institute about the general clauses of procedural negotiation, where will be demonstrated wich the value attributed by the legislator of the parties to agree on procedures, tax, powers, powers and procedural obligations, making a parallel with the intrinsic and extrinsic limits of the same. Through bibliographic research, it breaks down the institute of procedural conventions with regard to aspects that limit the faculty of negotiation. The stages of this work specifically have parts that interweave throughout it, until the conclusion phase, which considers that the institute of general clauses of procedural negotiation made the Brazilian Civil Process more democratic.

Por meio da pesquisa bibliográfica esmiúça o instituto das convenções processuais no que tange aos aspectos limitadores à faculdade de negociação.
