Resumo: This article aims to analyze the current problem of the incidence of pesticides in food and the risk to the health of its consumers through the Bibliographical Theoretical Method. The current legislation is also studied in relation to the protection of both human beings and the environment in which they live, as well as the relationship between healthy eating and pesticides. It concludes with the presentation of alarming data regarding the pesticides present in the food consumed daily by Brazilians.

Estuda-se também a legislação vigente com relação a proteção, tanto do ser humano, como do ambiente em que se vive, assim como a relação entre a alimentação saudável e os agrotóxicos.
