Modalidades fisioterapêuticas como tratamento coadjuvante na endometriose e sua sintomatologia: uma revisão na literatura

Resumo: This undergraduate thesis is a review about pelvic health of women living with endometriosis. Presenting recent researches about physiotherapeutic interventions in women with both endometriosis diagnosis and its symptoms actively is the objective of the present study, which can be a comparative tool for undergraduate students and for physiotherapists who intend to practice therapeutic interventions concerning this theme. Methods: research in the online databases PubMed, PEDro, EBSCOhost and Google Scholar were performed, from which scientific articles related to the interest of this review were selected. Results: there are evidences about pelvic pain associated to endometriosis relieving by physical therapy interventions. Once these studied therapies present low cost, low invasive grade, security and effectiveness evidences from clinical trials, these therapies can be treatment options for physiotherapists. Conclusion: the selected articles presented good auxiliary treatment modalities, associated with life quality improvement, pain relieving and improvement of anxiety and depressions scores and general health status.

O objetivo deste TCC é apresentar pesquisas recentes sobre assistência fisioterapêutica em mulheres com diagnóstico e sintomas ativos de endometriose. Portanto, este trabalho se torna uma ferramenta comparativa para acadêmicos e graduados em fisioterapia que venham a praticar intervenções terapêuticas referentes ao tema. A metodologia utilizada neste trabalho inclui pesquisa em bancos de dados online PubMed, PEDro, EBSCOhost e Google Acadêmico, a partir dos quais extraíram-se artigos científicos de relevância para o assunto. Dentre os resultados de destaque, há evidências de melhora da dor pélvica associada a endometriose a partir de intervenções fisioterapêuticas. Dado serem terapias de baixo custo, não invasivas, além de contarem com segurança e efetividades sinalizadas a partir de ensaios clínicos, essas terapias podem fazer parte do leque de opções de profissionais de fisioterapia para o manejo de sintomas relacionados a endometriose.
