This article aims to point out the divergent currents of understanding of the Supplementary Health Roll of Procedures and Events, established by the National Agency of Supplementary Health - ANS, so that, through this, it is intended to provide a broad view of the criteria used by judges, in the preparation of their decisions, to consider the ANS' roll as restrictive, or merely exemplifying, and consequently, the reflection of these decisions. For the development of this article, a deductive methodology was used, based on doctrines of the area, legal provisions applicable to the theme, and especially on jurisdictional decisions whose theme of the dispute develops from the interpretation of the ANS' Roll of Procedures and Events in Supplementary Health. Thus, throughout this article was exposed, comparatively, beneficial and detrimental effects borne by consumers, due to the establishment of a standardized interpretation of the ANS' Roll.
