Resumo: This article aims to bring the theme of the impact that credit instruments bring to society, in particular the effects caused by the check, a credit instrument for cash payment, in this article all its historical origin will be brought, from its creation to its application in contemporary society. Emphasizing its acceptance and wide expansion in the national territory It is observed how such title has become a catalyst for interpersonal legal relationships causing effects in Brazilian jurisprudence and especially in the middle of business law and how the term of Check dated has become commonplace in economic negotiations of this country, having its demand mainly in small and medium-sized traders, thus analyzing the benefits that it brings to society but also the obstacles caused by the non-fulfillment of an agreement between the parties regarding the presentation of the title dated.
