Resumo: The present paper presents a case analysis of the current situation that truck drivers are subjected to nowadays. To achieve this, all the parameters and demands required by large carriers and risk managers, who seek to maximize the protection of the transported cargo at the cost of exposing a lot of sensitive data from truck drivers on platforms and the internet, were analyzed. It is a fact that with the advent of the Internet and advanced technology, we are increasingly exposed to personal data getting into the hands of strangers, with various interests, and often, such data exposure is responsible for causing a series of problems to the victim. The transportation industry is exposed to a number of problems, such as theft, robbery, accidents, etc. However, the large carriers seek to protect their cargo transported by third parties, through Risk Management Companies, at the cost of using the personal data of truck drivers, who are subject to provide their personal data to the two aforementioned figures, and as a result of not providing it, the driver will not be able to perform the freight for that carrier, damaging his livelihood. The data provided to Carriers and Risk Managers is inserted in applications and platforms on the Internet, making it possible that it can be used for a number of issues that can bring harm to the data subject. Thus, the land cargo transportation systems are seeking to protect the cargo they transport, at the cost of exposing the personal data of the truck drivers, who are the weakest link in this relationship and most of the time have little knowledge about the use of this data on internet platforms. In view of this, observing that many truck drivers do not know how to act in the occurrence of "leaking" their data, being responsible for possibly contracting some kind of damaging situation to themselves, this paper aims to indicate how they should act in this situation.
