Perfil epidemiológico e tendências da infecção pelo HIV na 15ª Regional de saúde do Paraná

In the last years, aids became a controllable chronic disease, although it still represents an epidemy that affects the life quality of millions of people all over the world. This study proposes to amplify the knowledge on the epidemiology and tendency of infection, in multiple variables, at the 15ª Health Regional in Paraná. It represents a cross-sectional study, with secondary data and quantitative approach. The data was collected in SINAN, where were registered 3370 reports of anti-HIV exams, done in the regional between 2009 and 2019. Concerning category, homosexuals presented the most expressive growing, with a 776,92% percentual, outpacing heterosexuals, in 2017. In definition, HIV+ had a 1040% increase, exceeding aids itself, since 2014. Furthermore, about schooling and age group, the high school and 20 to 34 years range stood out with a 325% and 549% growth, respectively. In the matter of gender, men had a 366% increase. Most of the results was not befitting the epidemiological reports, both brazilian and worldwide, therefore, this paper identifies the different regional prevalence of aids and the importance of a local determination concerning an epidemiological profile, in order to create strategies that reach mainly the target populations of the presented groups, aiming the extension of diagnoses and disease treatment, to aware the population, decrease infection’s incidence and raise life quality of the infected.
