Women are diagnosed with chronic arterial hypertension if this clinical condition precedes the pregnancy or even if the hypertension is identified before the 20th week of gestation. This complication is often found in pregnancy, with a prevalence rate of 7% among women between 18 to 39 years. The present research aims to discuss chronic arterial hypertension in a pregnant woman, as well as to discuss the results complications from this disease to mother and fetus. The case report describes a 36 years old patient diagnosed with difficulty managing chronic arterial hypertension and a history of pregnancy loss even under adequate follow-up and prenatal care. Facing normal test results and without any other defined diagnosis to explain those events, it is understood that the only correlation is with chronic arterial hypertension. Consecrated bibliographies are used to establish a causal nexus between laboratory and imaging methods with clinical history. It is expected to demonstrate the causality of fetal deaths with chronic arterial hypertension in pregnancy, mainly in case of difficult control.
