Dentoalveolar trauma refers to a dental injury, which in turn causes an impact on tissue structure, resulting from an accidental act or violence. Dental avulsion falls under the category of dentoalveolar trauma and needs to be treated as an emergency care, as it qualifies as a total displacement of the tooth outside its alveolus. The prognosis is somewhat dubious, as the treatment will depend on the conditioning criteria of this tooth, in addition to the vitality of the periodontal ligament. Furthermore, for the treatment to be successful, the professional's adequate intervention is immeasurable. Dental reimplantation is the most relevant treatment when it comes to tooth avulsion, however there are contraindications for this process according to the literature. Therefore, the objective of the current study is to prove, through a clinical case, the success of dental reimplantation after avulsion. The exposed clinical case proved favorable factors and the existence of normality in deference to the traumatic area, followed by late reimplantation, certifying a successful result.
