Resumo: This article aims to analyze the impact of foreign languages on the Brazilian and the international legal field based on literature search and field survey data carried out with one hundred and eighty-eight interviewees. Using the inductive approach method, based on the qualitative, quantitative, and exploratory methods, hypotheses about the influence of the foreign tongues on the different Law areas, such as attorney’s practice, drafting of legal standards, precedents research, and other legal practices were validated. It is concluded that there is still a lot to develop in terms of this theme because although foreign languages are considered important for a big part of the professionals, there is a gap between being considered important and actually owning the knowledge and reflection about the impacts brought by different languages to the global society

Utilizando o método de abordagem indutivo, com base nos métodos qualitativo, quantitativo e exploratório, validaram-se as hipóteses levantadas a respeito da influência de línguas estrangeiras nas diversas áreas do Direito, quanto à atuação advocatícia, elaboração de normas jurídicas, pesquisas jurisprudenciais, entre outras práticas da rotina jurídica.
