Refugee population in Brazil: looking for a comprehensive protection

Resumo: Brazil is generally pointed as a model of protection to refugee population in South America, what seems reasonable if the minimum standards of the International Refugee Law are considered. However, there are still challenges to be faced in order to provide a comprehensive protection that encompasses also standards established by the International Human Rights Law. This article intends to present which are the challenges to an effective holistic protection of the human dignity of the refugee population.
