Resumo: | This study aim to characterize the fishing and socioeconomic aspects of the fishermen in Maicá and Pérola do Maicá communities, localized at Santarém-PA. The collect was realized through application of 50 semi structured formularies, from 2015’s may to december. The results showed that the majority of the fishers is male, belonged to 51.6 years (± 13.41 years) average age, with an incomplete elementary school and over than 30 years (± 15.15 years) of activity. The motorized canoe was the most cited for fisheries, in addition, the principal device utilized was gill net. The monthly income obtained with fishing is equivalent to 53% of minimum wage, by the way “pacu” is the greatest fishery resource captured. The decrease of natural stocks, use of illegal devices and conflicts for fishing were the main issues registered by fishers of the region. It has been important to highlight that the artisanal fishing practiced over the Maicá Lake is the major economic activity in that locality and the mismanagement can affect the social and cultural life of populations who depends on its. Therefore, these results can subsidize the policy making of investment and management appropriate measures to improve fishery activity. Keywords: Socioeconomic profile; artisanal fishing; foodplain; Lower Amazon. |

Universidade Federal do AmapáVaz, Elizabete de MatosZacardi, Diego MaiaRabelo, Yohanna Gabriely SousaCorrêa, Jerry Max Sanches2017-12-31info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionArtigo Avaliado pelos Paresapplication/pdfhttps://periodicos.unifap.br/index.php/biota/article/view/316810.18561/2179-5746/biotaamazonia.v7n4p6-12Biota Amazônia (Biote Amazonie, Biota Amazonia, Amazonian Biota); v. 7, n. 4 (2017); 6-122179-5746reponame:Biota Amazôniainstname:Universidade Federal do Amapá (UNIFAP)instacron:UNIFAPporhttps://periodicos.unifap.br/index.php/biota/article/view/3168/v7n4p6-12.pdfAmazoniaDireitos autorais 2018 Biota Amazônia (Biote Amazonie, Biota Amazonia, Amazonian Biota)http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess2018-03-20T19:55:42Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/3168Revistahttp://periodicos.unifap.br/index.php/biotaONGhttps://periodicos.unifap.br/index.php/biota/oai||juliosa@unifap.br2179-57462179-5746opendoar:2018-03-20T19:55:42Biota Amazônia - Universidade Federal do Amapá (UNIFAP)false |
