Resumo: This study aimed to provide a brief explanation of the agrarian question in Amapá, more specifically the issue of vacant lands, covering general aspects and establishing a bond with the legal provisions available on the subject and the state of Amapá starring in more specific study theme. The methodology used was based on a qualitative approach, focusing on literature search, which allows a better delineation of the subject. Accordingly, the results indicate the urgent need to clarify the matter and discussions lock, preserve, protect and mostly know the Amapá, and thus impart knowledge to present and future generations.Keywords: Agrarian; Amapá; lands; legal devices; discussion.

A metodologia utilizada foi fundamentada na abordagem qualitativa, com enfoque na pesquisa bibliográfica, que possibilita um melhor delineamento do assunto.
