Resumo: | The present study aims to describe the experience of a family member in the follow-up of a patient deprived of liberty infected with tuberculosis, highlighting the weaknesses of the care provided. This is an experience report with a descriptive qualitative approach, which contributes to the writing of experiences and knowledge of various themes, being recognized in the importance of discussing. It refers to the experience of a nursing student in the 3rd semester in the follow-up of a patient deprived of liberty. The experience occurred during the need for care of the family patient, who remained in a penitentiary for approximately three years that the patient was not diagnosed with tuberculosis and, two years after his departure, the bacteria manifested in his body. The assistance of a multiprofessional team for patients with tuberculosis has the role of giving the necessary guidelines to avoid the contagion and spread of the pathology, being necessary the necessary guidelines on active tuberculosis, in which professionals and sectors work the patient's clinic and give him/her appropriate assistance. |

Se trata de un relato de experiencia con abordaje cualitativo descriptivo, que contribuye a la escritura de experiencias y conocimientos de diversas temáticas, siendo reconocida en la importancia de discutir. Se refiere a la experiencia de una estudiante de enfermería del 3er semestre en el seguimiento de un paciente privado de libertad. La experiencia ocurrió durante la necesidad de atención del paciente familiar, quien permaneció en un centro penitenciario durante aproximadamente tres años que el paciente no fue diagnosticado con tuberculosis y, dos años después de su salida, la bacteria se manifestó en su organismo. La asistencia de un equipo multiprofesional para pacientes con tuberculosis tiene el rol de dar las pautas necesarias para evitar el contagio y propagación de la patología, siendo necesarias las pautas necesarias sobre tuberculosis activa, en las que profesionales y sectores trabajan la clínica del paciente y le brindan/ su asistencia adecuada.O presente estudo tem como objetivo descrever a experiência de uma familiar no acompanhamento de paciente privado de liberdade infectado pela tuberculose, evidenciando as fragilidades da assistência prestada. Trata-se de um relato de experiência com abordagem qualitativa descritiva, relato este que contribui na escrita de vivências e conhecimentos de várias temáticas, sendo reconhecida na importância de discutir. Refere-se a experiência de uma discente de bacharelado em enfermagem no 3° semestre no acompanhamento de um paciente privado de liberdade. A experiencia ocorreu durante a necessidade de atendimento do paciente familiar, que permaneceu em um penitenciário aproximadamente por três anos que o paciente não foi diagnosticado com a tuberculose e, após dois anos de sua saída, a bactéria manifestou em seu corpo.
