Humanization of Emergency Services Assistance: A view of nursing in the light of phenomenology

Resumo: Introduction: Approaching the humanization of emergency services assistance is a necessary challenge. Patients who require hospital emergency assistance as well as healthcare professionals who work there, are under stress and tension. Objective: understand the meaning of humanization for the nursing staff in the context of urgency and emergency. Methods: Qualitative study, with a phenomenological approach in which 06 professionals from nursing staff participated. The collection of information took place in 2019 through a semi-structured interview. Results: the phenomenological concepts of “being with” and “being in the world”, made it possible to unveil the meanings of humanization for these professionals, resulting in three themes: Being there in the encounter with the other in the world of care; work process in the world of (lack of) care; elements that interfere with humanization. Conclusion: Understanding the meaning of humanization instigates reflections and changes in the world of care, nursing professionals relate, in their daily lives, with the surrounding world and the world itself, thus, it is in constant transformation and so gives meaning to care in urgent and emergency services.

Objetivo: comprender el significado de la humanización para el equipo de enfermería en el contexto de urgencia y emergencia. Métodos: Estudio cualitativo, con enfoque fenomenológico, en el que participaron 06 profesionales del equipo de enfermería. La recolección de información se realizó en 2019 a través de una entrevista semiestructurada. Resultados: Los conceptos fenomenológicos de “estar con” y “estar en el mundo”, permitieron desvelar los significados de la humanización para estos profesionales, resultando en tres temas: Estar ahí en el encuentro con el otro en el mundo del cuidado; proceso de trabajo en el mundo del (des) cuidado; elementos que interfieren con la humanización. Conclusión: Comprender el significado de la humanización instiga reflexiones y cambios en el mundo del cuidado, los profesionales de enfermería se relacionan, en su cotidianidad, con el mundo circundante y el mundo mismo, por lo que se encuentra en constante transformación y por lo tanto da sentido al cuidado en urgencias. y servicios de emergencia.Introdução: Abordar a humanização do cuidado nos serviços de urgência e emergência é um desafio necessário, a clientela que busca atendimento nestes espaços, bem como os profissionais que ali atuam estão sob tensão e estresse. Objetivo: compreender o significado da humanização para a equipe de enfermagem no cenário da urgência e emergência. Métodos: Estudo qualitativo, com abordagem fenomenológica, no qual participaram 06 profissionais da equipe de enfermagem. A coleta das informações ocorreu em 2019 através de entrevista semiestruturada. Resultados: Os conceitos fenomenológicos de “ser com” e “ser no mundo”, possibilitou desvelar os significados da humanização para estes profissionais resultando em três temas: o Ser aí no encontro com o outro no mundo do cuidado; processo de trabalho no mundo do (des)cuidado; elementos que interferem na humanização.
