Perceptions of humanization in the professional performance of psychologists in a teaching hospital

Resumo: | Taking into account how the professional of Psychology conceives the individual and how the guidelines and principles of the humanization policy direct care, it is possible to see an approximation between the psychologist and the humanization construct. Therefore, it is essential to understand how this professional, so important for the implementation of the practice of this policy, understands the meaning of humanization and how they visualize, in their daily lives, their practice in line with this construct. The objective is to access the understanding of Psychology professionals about the concept of humanization, in addition to analyzing the extent to which humanized behaviors include their understanding of the concept, as well as identifying the aspects that favor or not such practice. It is a cross-sectional, descriptive and qualitative research, having as a method the content analysis, from the answers to an interview designed to contemplate the study objectives. It was possible to understand that Psychology professionals have extensive knowledge about the concept of humanization. It was observed that this knowledge goes far beyond what they manage to implement in professional practice. This practice encounters several obstacles to achieving an ideally humanized character, since they proved to be resistant, crossing the daily care. Lesser number of facilitators were identified when compared to hinderers. However, such facilitators proved to be a relevant support for professionals to try, in their daily lives, to overcome the challenges in order to provide humanized and quality care. |

Por tanto, es fundamental comprender cómo este profesional, tan importante para la implementación de la práctica de esta política, comprende el significado de la humanización y cómo visualiza, en su vida cotidiana, su práctica en consonancia con este constructo. El objetivo es acceder a la comprensión de los profesionales de la Psicología sobre el concepto de humanización, además de analizar en qué medida las conductas humanizadas incluyen su comprensión del concepto, así como identificar los aspectos que favorecen o no dicha práctica. Es una investigación transversal, descriptiva y cualitativa, teniendo como método el análisis de contenido, desde las respuestas hasta una entrevista diseñada para contemplar los objetivos del estudio. Se pudo comprender que los profesionales de la Psicología tienen un amplio conocimiento sobre el concepto de humanización. Se observó que este conocimiento va mucho más allá de lo que logran implementar en la práctica profesional. Esta práctica encuentra varios obstáculos para lograr un carácter idealmente humanizado, ya que demostraron ser resistentes, atravesando la rutina del cuidado diario. Se identificó un menor número de facilitadores en comparación con los obstaculizadores. Sin embargo, dichos facilitadores demostraron ser un apoyo relevante para que los profesionales intenten, en su día a día, superar los desafíos para brindar una atención humanizada y de calidad.Levando em consideração como o profissional da Psicologia concebe o indivíduo e como as diretrizes e os princípios da política de humanização direcionam o cuidado, percebe-se uma aproximação entre o psicólogo e o construto da humanização. Sendo assim, torna-se imprescindível compreender como esse profissional, tão importante para que haja a implementação da prática dessa política, compreende o significado de humanização e como visualiza, em seu cotidiano, sua prática em consonância a esse construto. Objetiva-se acessar a compreensão de profissionais da Psicologia sobre o conceito de humanização, além de analisar em que medida as condutas humanizadas contemplam sua compreensão do conceito, bem como identificar os aspectos que favorecem ou não tal prática. Trata-se de uma pesquisa transversal, descritiva e qualitativa, possuindo como método a análise de conteúdo, a partir das respostas a uma entrevista elaborada para contemplar os objetivos estudo. Foi possível compreender que as profissionais de Psicologia possuem amplo conhecimento sobre a concepção de humanização. Observou-se que este conhecimento vai muito além do que conseguem implementar na prática profissional. Tal prática encontra diversos dificultadores para atingir um caráter idealmente humanizado, uma vez que se mostraram resistentes, atravessando o cotidiano da assistência. Foram identificados menor quantidade de facilitadores quando comparados aos dificultadores.
