Focus on Science, Technology, Society and Environment (CTSA) on the themes of Science Fair projects

Resumo: Science fairs are extremely important spaces for the dissemination of scientific culture. They are shown as a fundamental tool in the development of both students and teachers, as those involved are encouraged to seek the necessary methodologies to achieve continuous knowledge in all areas. This study seeks to carry out a documental analysis on the themes addressed in Science Fairs promoted by a university in the interior of RS, considering the Science, Technology, Society and Environment (CTSA) approach. This is a study with a qualitative, exploratory and descriptive nature, with documental analysis being carried out. Data analysis was similar to Content Analysis. Two categories of analysis were obtained: “Importance of children and adolescents in studies aimed at CTSA” and “Themes addressed in research projects”. It was observed that the presentations on Science and Society were the chosen theme for most of the works. The thematic choices of students somehow refer to their concern with our society and their use of available resources, demonstrating critical awareness, evident in their concern with the development of society.

Se muestran como una herramienta fundamental en el desarrollo tanto de estudiantes como de docentes, ya que se anima a los involucrados a buscar las metodologías necesarias para lograr un conocimiento continuo en todas las áreas. Este estudio busca realizar un análisis documental sobre los temas abordados en las Ferias de Ciencias promovidas por una universidad del interior de RS, considerando el enfoque de Ciencia, Tecnología, Sociedad y Medio Ambiente (CTSA). Se trata de un estudio de carácter cualitativo, exploratorio y descriptivo, con análisis documental en curso. El análisis de datos fue similar al análisis de contenido. Se obtuvieron dos categorías de análisis: “Importancia de la niñez y adolescencia en estudios dirigidos a CTSA” y “Temas abordados en proyectos de investigación”. Se observó que las presentaciones sobre Ciencia y Sociedad fueron el tema elegido para la mayoría de los trabajos. Las elecciones temáticas de los estudiantes se refieren de alguna manera a su preocupación por nuestra sociedad y su uso de los recursos disponibles, demostrando una conciencia crítica, evidente en su preocupación por el desarrollo de la sociedad.As feiras de ciências são espaços extremamente importantes para a difusão da cultura científica. Mostram-se como uma ferramenta fundamental no desenvolvimento, tanto de estudantes quanto de professores, pois os envolvidos são incentivados a buscar as metodologias necessárias para alcançar o conhecimento contínuo em todas as áreas. O presente estudo busca realizar uma análise documental sobre os temas abordados nas Feiras de Ciências promovidas por uma universidade do interior do RS, considerando o enfoque Ciência, Tecnologia, Sociedade e Ambiente (CTSA). Trata-se de um estudo com cunho qualitativo, exploratório e descritivo, sendo realizada análise documental. A análise dos sados teve aproximação à Análise de Conteúdos. Foram obtidas duas categorias de análise: “Importância de crianças e adolescentes em estudos voltados a CTSA” e “Temas abordados nos projetos de pesquisa”. Observou-se que as apresentações sobre Ciências e Sociedade foram a temática de escolha da maioria dos trabalhos.
