The waiting room as a space for health promotion in the psychosocial care center

Resumo: | Medicines are considered one of the effective therapeutic forms in the treatment of psychiatric disorders and are widely used in the Psychosocial Care Center (CAPS), however, psychotropics are frequent causes of drug intoxication and other health problems. This report aims to discuss the experience of an educational action carried out in a CAPS waiting room in a municipality in the interior of Ceará, developed by students from the 6th semester of the undergraduate nursing course, whose main theme was guidance related to the use of psychotropic drugs. The practice took place by making a self-explanatory poster and dynamics of interaction between the institution's clients, with a focus on removing doubts and using accessible language for greater understanding. Taking into account the significant increase in the use of psychotropics in the treatment of psychiatric disorders, it is understood how much it is necessary for professionals to monitor and be attentive to possible patient placements, so that they feel capable and comfortable to expose their doubts, preventing clients from making therapy changes on their own. Therefore, the waiting room presents itself as a fundamental and initial approach that allows the development of future practices and interventions aimed at the client, enabling the promotion of health and self-care in the context of mental health. |

Este informe tiene como objetivo discutir la experiencia de una acción educativa realizada en una sala de espera CAPS en un municipio del interior de Ceará, desarrollada por estudiantes del sexto semestre del curso de pregrado en enfermería, cuyo tema principal fue la orientación relacionada con el uso de drogas psicotrópicas. La práctica se llevó a cabo haciendo un póster autoexplicativo y dinámicas de interacción entre los clientes de la institución, con un enfoque en la eliminación de dudas y el uso de un lenguaje accesible para una mayor comprensión. Teniendo en cuenta el aumento significativo en el uso de psicotrópicos en el tratamiento de trastornos psiquiátricos, se entiende cuánto es necesario que los profesionales controlen y estén atentos a las posibles ubicaciones de los pacientes, para que se sientan capaces y cómodos para exponer sus dudas. evitar que los clientes realicen cambios de terapia por su cuenta. Por lo tanto, la sala de espera se presenta como un enfoque fundamental e inicial que permite el desarrollo de prácticas e intervenciones futuras dirigidas al cliente, lo que permite la promoción de la salud y el autocuidado en el contexto de la salud mental.Os medicamentos são considerados uma das formas terapêuticas eficazes no tratamento de transtornos psiquiátricos e são bastante utilizados no Centro de Atenção Psicossocial (CAPS), porém, os psicotrópicos são causas frequentes de intoxicação medicamentosa e outros agravos a saúde. O presente relato objetiva discutir sobre a experiência de uma ação educativa executada em uma sala de espera do CAPS de um município no interior do Ceará, desenvolvida por alunos do 6° semestre do curso de graduação em enfermagem, que possuiu como tema principal orientações relacionadas ao uso de psicofármacos. A prática se deu pela confecção de um cartaz autoexplicativo e dinâmicas de interação entre os clientes da instituição, com foco em retirada de dúvidas e uso de linguagem acessível para maior entendimento. Levando em consideração o aumento significativo no uso de psicotrópicos nos tratamentos dos transtornos psiquiátricos, compreende-se o quanto é necessário que os profissionais acompanhem e estejam atentos às possíveis colocações dos pacientes, para que os mesmos se sintam capazes e confortáveis para expor suas dúvidas, evitando que os clientes realizem, muitas vezes, por conta própria mudanças na terapia.
