Health education for the promotion of breastfeeding in joint accommodation: integrative review

Resumo: Goals: Understand the importance of health education carried out by nurses on breastfeeding in rooming-in. Methodology: This is an integrative, qualitative and descriptive literature review, carried out in the Virtual Health Library (VHL) database in December 2020. The descriptors used were Health Education; Breastfeeding; Accommodation Set; Newborn. Inclusion criteria were: articles published in Portuguese and indexed in the last ten years. Exclusion criteria were: duplicated articles that deviate from the proposed theme. Four articles were integrated to compose the study. Results: The surveys were divided into two tables, containing the following information: title, authors, year of publication, journal, qualis, objectives, method, results, conclusion and level of evidence. With that, the analysis of the articles was carried out. Conclusions: The importance of health education for postpartum women and newborns can be noted and rooming-in is the environment that professionals, especially nurses, should put into practice the strategy to promote breastfeeding . Professionals should seek to improve themselves through professional qualifications and training for an adequate approach with a transmission of knowledge with quality and understand their duty and its importance in rooming-in.

Metodología: Se trata de una revisión integradora, cualitativa y descriptiva de la literatura, realizada en la base de datos de la Biblioteca Virtual de Salud (BVS) en el mes de diciembre de 2020. Los descriptores utilizados fueron Educación sanitaria, Lactancia, Lactancia conjunta y Recién nacido. Los criterios de inclusión fueron: artículos publicados en portugués e indexados en los últimos diez años. Los criterios de exclusión fueron: artículos duplicados y artículos que se desviaban del tema propuesto. Cuatro artículos se integraron para componer el estudio. Resultados: Las investigaciones se distribuyeron en dos tablas, que contenían la siguiente información: título, autores, año de publicación, revista, cualis, objetivos, método, resultados, conclusión y nivel de evidencia. Con esto, se realizó el análisis de los artículos. Conclusiones: Se puede observar la importancia de la educación en salud para la mujer peruana y para el recién nacido y observar que el alojamiento conjunto es el ambiente en el que los profesionales, principalmente los enfermeros, deben poner en práctica la estrategia de promoción de la salud materna. Los profesionales deben tratar de perfeccionarse a través de la formación profesional para un enfoque adecuado con una transmisión de conocimientos de calidad y para entender su deber e importancia en el rooming.Objetivos: Compreender a importância da educação em saúde realizada por enfermeiros sobre aleitamento materno no alojamento conjunto. Conclusões: Pode-se notar a importância da educação em saúde para a mulher puérpera e para o recém-nascido e observar que o alojamento conjunto é o ambiente que os profissionais, principalmente os enfermeiros, devem colocar em prática a estratégia de promoção ao aleitamento materno.
