Contextualizing interdisciplinarity: a case study at the Federal University of ABC

Resumo: In this research we contextualize the interdisciplinarity concept in the evolution of its practice at the Federal University of ABC (UFABC), during the ten first years of its constitution. The work is the result of a case study with a qualitative approach that analyzed the pedagogical project of constitution of the Bachelor of Science and Technology (BC&T) of UFABC and proposed a discussion based on the main authors who approached the subject with the view of some of the main teachers involved in this trajectory. The discussions had as a starting point the observation of a class, which took place during a course of the UFABC Postgraduate Program in Humanities and Social Sciences, in the third quarter of 2016. We found that in the trajectory of interdisciplinarity at UFABC, curriculum flexibility was maintained for the new pedagogical proposals that were being built, however, according to the analysis of the documents and discussions on the topic, we verified that there are signs of a distance between its idealization and the realization of interdisciplinary proposals, showing an approximation of multidisciplinary practices of the implemented actions.

El trabajo es el resultado de un estudio de caso, con un enfoque cualitativo, que analizó el proyecto pedagógico para la constitución del Bachillerato en Ciencia y Tecnología (BC&T) en UFABC y basado en autores que abordaron el tema de la interdisciplinariedad con la opinión de algunos de los principales maestros involucrado en esta trayectoria. Las discusiones tuvieron como punto de partida la observación de una clase, que tuvo lugar durante una disciplina del Programa de Posgrado en Ciencias Humanas y Sociales en UFABC, en el tercer cuatrimestre de 2016. Encontramos que en la trayectoria de la interdisciplinariedad en UFABC, hubo mantenimiento en el flexibilidad curricular para las nuevas propuestas pedagógicas que se estaban construyendo, sin embargo, de acuerdo con el análisis de los documentos y las discusiones sobre el tema, verificamos que hay evidencia de una brecha entre su idealización y la realización de propuestas interdisciplinarias, mostrando una aproximación de las prácticas multidisciplinarias de las acciones implementadas.Nesta pesquisa contextualizamos a concepção de interdisciplinaridade na evolução de sua prática na Universidade Federal do ABC (UFABC), durante os dez primeiros anos de sua constituição. O trabalho é resultado de um estudo de caso, com abordagem qualitativa, que analisou o projeto pedagógico de constituição do Bacharelado em Ciência e Tecnologia (BC&T) da UFABC e fundamentado em autores que abordaram o tema da interdisciplinaridade com a visão de alguns dos principais docentes envolvidos nesta trajetória. As discussões tiveram como ponto de partida a observação de uma aula, ocorrida durante uma disciplina[1] do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ciências Humanas e Sociais da UFABC, no terceiro quadrimestre de 2016.
