In the gestational period, several physiological changes and biomechanical adjustments occur, resulting in changes in the various body systems, which can lead to dysfunctions such as gestational low back pain. The aim of this study was to evaluate the correlation between the number of gestational weeks and functional disability related to low back pain in pregnant women, taking into account their physical fitness and the locomotor impairment that pregnancy can develop. The study was conducted in the form of a narrative review of the literature, with the objective of gathering studies and identifying the prevalence of low back pain in pregnant women, main symptoms and associated factors. The onset of low back pain is mainly associated with the third month of pregnancy, and the factors are associated with hormone production and aspects of life. The study observed a correlation between gestational age, physiology, socioeconomic quality and work activity a relationship with low back pain in pregnant women.
