Resumo: Nurses are one of the first professionals to come into contact with women who are victims of violence; therefore, they play an important role in carrying out qualified listening and creating a bond with the victim, knowing their social context and support network. The objective of this study was to know the role of nurses in cases of violence against women in primary health care. This was a bibliographic review of the integrative review type, based on scientific publications indexed in the Virtual Health Library (VHL) database, through the Latin American and Caribbean Literature on Health Sciences (LILACS) databases, Scientific Electronic Library Online (Scielo) and PUBMED, from 2016 to 2021. Following the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 10 articles were selected. Data analysis allowed us to identify three significant and common themes in the studies of this review: “Professional sensitivity in welcoming and qualified listening”, “Nurses as a health educator in the empowerment of women” and “Nurses' weaknesses in the face of difficulties of confrontation and of knowing the subject”. It was evident that it is still a great challenge to recognize and approach these women, the nursing professional has many difficulties in the care and referrals of victims. At the same time, the nurse is highly qualified to assist the woman with regard to her empowerment and autonomy.

It was evident that it is still a great challenge to recognize and approach these women, the nursing professional has many difficulties in the care and referrals of victims. At the same time, the nurse is highly qualified to assist the woman with regard to her empowerment and autonomy. Research, Society and Development2022-04-03info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/2805410.33448/rsd-v11i5.28054Research, Society and Development; Vol. 11 No. 5; e19911528054Research, Society and Development; Vol. 11 Núm. 5; e19911528054Research, Society and Development; v. 11 n. 5; e199115280542525-3409reponame:Research, Society and Developmentinstname:Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)instacron:UNIFEIporhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/28054/24473Copyright (c) 2022 Marciele Begnini; Edilson Lima dos Santos; Sandra Maria Vanini; Aline Paula Spibida Silvestri; Letícia Lirio dos Santos; Adrieli Carla Prigolhttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessBegnini, MarcieleSantos, Edilson Lima dosVanini, Sandra MariaSilvestri, Aline Paula Spibida Santos, Letícia Lirio dosPrigol, Adrieli Carla2022-04-17T18:18:56Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/28054Revistahttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/indexPUBhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/oairsd.articles@gmail.com2525-34092525-3409opendoar:2024-01-17T09:45:35.573279Research, Society and Development - Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)false
