Nurses' performance in primary care for women victims of domestic violence: an integrative review

Resumo: For the World Health Organization (WHO), violence is defined as an act of force against oneself, another person or community. Thus, domestic violence is classified in many types. However, there are a need for nursing care aimed at this victim population. The objective of this study was to identify the role of nurses in a primary health care for victims of domestic violence, adding to the understanding of the problem to the society and the importance of welcoming victims. Theoretical study, of the integrative type, with a qualitative approach, the following databases were used for its execution: Virtual Health Library (VHL), in the databases of the National Library of Medicine of the United States (PUBMED) and in Science Electronic Librery Online (SciELO), from the crossing of the descriptors “Violence against women”; “Nursing care”; “Primary Health Care”, using the Boolean operator AND. Thus, were subsequently selected 26 scientific paper for the final analysis, to verify the  difficulty in identifying, in the use of reception and also in the search and active listening as tools to better provide a link with the woman. The themes to guide the research were: difficulties in identifying and approaching victims of domestic violence; nursing care to domestic violence. It should be noted that the lack of professional nurse training, but it is believed that care must be aligned with the entire multidisciplinary team for its quality.

Así, la violencia doméstica se clasifica en sus tipos derivados. Sin embargo, los cuidados de enfermería dirigidos a esta población víctima son necesarios. El objetivo fue identificar el papel del enfermero en la acción en la atención primaria de salud frente a las víctimas de violencia doméstica, resumiendo para la comprensión del problema por parte de la sociedad y para la conceptualización de la importancia de la acogida de las víctimas. Estudio teórico, de tipo integrador, con enfoque cualitativo, para su ejecución se utilizaron las siguientes bases de datos: Biblioteca Virtual en Salud (BVS), en las bases de datos de la Biblioteca Nacional de Medicina de los Estados Unidos (PUBMED) y en la Scietific Electronic Librery Online (SciELO), a partir del cruce de los descriptores “Violence against women”; “Nursing care”; “Primary Health Care”, utilizando el operador booleano AND. Así, siendo luego seleccionados 26 artículos para el análisis final, que verifican la dificultad en la identificación, en el uso de la recepción y también en la búsqueda y en la escucha activa como herramientas para propiciar mejor el vínculo con la mujer. Los temas que orientaron la investigación fueron: dificultades en la identificación y abordaje de las víctimas de violencia doméstica; atención de enfermería a víctimas de violencia doméstica. Se nota la falta de formación del profesional de enfermería, pero se cree que la asistencia debe estar alineada con todo el equipo multidisciplinario para su calidad.Para a Organização Mundial de Saúde (OMS), violência é definida como um ato de força contra si, outra pessoa ou comunidade. Assim, a violência doméstica se classifica em seus derivados tipos. Contudo, se faz necessário uma assistência de enfermagem voltada à essa população vítima. Objetivou-se em identificar a atuação dos enfermeiros em ação na atenção primária da saúde frente à vítima de violência doméstica, somatizando para o entendimento do problema pela sociedade e para a conceptualização da importância do acolhimento às vítimas. Estudo teórico, do tipo integrativa, com uma abordagem qualitativa, para sua execução foram utilizadas as seguintes bases de dados: Biblioteca Virtual da Saúde (BVS), nas bases de dados da Biblioteca Nacional de Medicina dos Estados Unidos (PUBMED) e na Scietific Electronic Librery Online (SciELO), a partir do cruzamento dos descritores “Violence against women”; “Nursing care”; “Primary Health Care”, utilizando o operador boleano AND. Com as temáticas para nortear a pesquisa foram: dificuldades na identificação e abordagem as vítimas de violência doméstica; assistência de enfermagem a vítimas de violência doméstica.
