HIV/AIDS: ecological study of spatial variations in time trends from 2007 to 2018

Resumo: | Objective: to analyze the spatial relation through georeferencing and temporal trend of confirmed cases of PLHIV and/or diagnosed with AIDS in a municipality in southern Brazil. Methodology: Ecological study, with a population composed of HIV/AIDS cases notified between 2007 and 2018. In spatial analysis, global Moran spatial autocorrection was used, followed by local spatial autocorrelation indicators, bivariate Moran analyzes and Kernel density. The association between distribution of cases in the census sectors was assessed by the technique of analyzing spatial variations in temporal trends, in order to detect and infer differences in their temporal tendency. The data were processed and demonstrated using maps. Results: There was a progressive increase in infection during the period. In the map of clusters of cases, it was found that the referral clinic is located close to the location of the concentration of diagnoses. As for the distribution of mortality, a homogeneous panorama was evidenced. Through the technique of analysis of spatial variations in temporal trends, it was possible to interpret, from its internal temporal tendency, the degree of growth or reduction of HIV/AIDS cases over the years within the cluster, in this case referring to the central region, which is compared with the external trend, that is, the trend in the entire municipality that does not belong to this same cluster. Conclusion: The geographic information system proved to be a relevant technology to understand the social dynamics of HIV infection and contributed to the identification of priority areas for planning health actions. |

Metodología: Estudio ecológico, compuesto por casos de VIH/SIDA notificados entre 2007 y 2018. En el análisis espacial se utilizó autocorrección espacial global de Moran, seguido de indicadores de autocorrelación espacial local, análisis de Moran bivariados y densidad Kernel. La asociación entre la distribución de casos se evaluó mediante la técnica de análisis de variaciones espaciales en tendencias temporales, con el fin de detectar e inferir diferencias en su tendencia temporal. Los datos se procesaron y demostraron mediante mapas. Resultados: Hubo un aumento progresivo de la infección en el período. En el mapa de conglomerados de casos, se encontró que el ambulatorio de referencia se ubica cerca de la ubicación de la concentración de diagnósticos. En cuanto a la distribución de la mortalidad, se evidenció un panorama homogéneo. A través de la técnica de análisis de variaciones espaciales en tendencias temporales, fue posible interpretar el grado de crecimiento o reducción de casos de VIH/SIDA a lo largo de los años dentro del clúster, en este caso referido a la región central, que se compara con la tendencia externa. Conclusión: El sistema de información geográfica demostró ser una tecnología relevante para comprender la dinámica social de la infección por VIH y contribuyó a la identificación de áreas prioritarias para la planificación de acciones de salud.Objetivo: analisar a relação espacial por meio do georreferenciamento e tendência temporal dos casos confirmados das PVHIV e/ou com diagnóstico de AIDS em um município do Sul do Brasil. No mapa dos aglomerados dos casos, verificou-se que o ambulatório de referência está localizado próximo ao local de concentração de diagnósticos. Quanto à distribuição da mortalidade, evidenciou-se um panorama homogêneo. Por meio da técnica de análise de variações espaciais nas tendências temporais, pôde-se interpretar, a partir de sua tendência temporal interna, o grau de crescimento ou redução dos casos de HIV/AIDS no decorrer dos anos dentro do aglomerado, neste caso referindo-se à região central, sendo esta comparada com a tendência externa, ou seja, a tendência em todo o município não pertencente a este mesmo aglomerado.
