Internationalization of vocational and technological education in Brazil: pathways of the Paula Souza Center – São Paulo

Resumo: The internationalization of education proves to be an innovative and complex strategy that can respond to educational needs in a scenario in which the globalized society and the challenges of the world of work are articulated. Educational policies and education systems in different countries have sought to improve on this scenario. This paper aims to demonstrate how a public institution of Vocational and Technological Education (EPT) in Brazil, the Paula Souza Center, has been building its internationalization actions in order to make its students better prepared for contemporary requirements. The research is qualitative, based on bibliographic and documentary research, that highlight the institutional strategies. Based on the structure of an advisory service linked to the institution's superintendence, there are actions that promote and make possible projects of approximation with international institutions, with special attention to the project of exchange of professors and students of higher education. It is observed that the Paula Souza Center institutional internationalization project, constantly under construction, proposes methods and processes with a view to improving the quality and and strategic character of Vocational and Technological Education.

Las políticas educativas y los sistemas educativos en diferentes países han tratado de mejorarlos en este escenario. Este trabajo tiene como objetivo demostrar cómo una institución pública de Educación Profesional y Tecnológica (EPT) en Brasil, el Centro Paula Souza, ha estado construyendo sus acciones de internacionalización, para que sus estudiantes estén más preparados para los requisitos contemporáneos. La investigación es de carácter cualitativo, desarrollada a partir de la investigación bibliográfica y documental, destacando las estrategias institucionales. A partir de la estructura de un servicio de asesoría vinculado a la superintendencia de la institución, existen acciones que promueven y posibilitan proyectos de aproximación con instituciones internacionales, con especial atención al proyecto de intercambio de profesores y estudiantes de educación superior. Se observa que el proyecto de internacionalización institucional del Centro Paula Souza, en constante construcción, propone métodos y procesos, para mejorar la calidad y el carácter estratégico de la Educación Profesional y Tecnológica.A internacionalização da educação se mostra como uma estratégia inovadora e complexa que pode responder às necessidades educativas num cenário em que se articulam a sociedade globalizada e os desafios do mundo do trabalho. As políticas educacionais e os sistemas educativos em diferentes países têm buscado o seu aprimoramento frente a esse cenário. Este trabalho tem por objetivo demonstrar como uma instituição pública de Educação Profissional e Tecnológica (EPT) no Brasil, o Centro Paula Souza, vem construindo suas ações de internacionalização, no intuito de tornar seus alunos mais preparados para as exigências contemporâneas. A pesquisa é de caráter qualitativo, desenvolvida a partir de pesquisa bibliográfica e documental, destacando as estratégias institucionais. A partir da estrutura de uma assessoria vinculada à superintendência da instituição, há ações que promovem e viabilizam projetos de aproximação com instituições internacionais, com especial atenção ao projeto de intercâmbio de docentes e discentes do ensino superior.
