Resumo: | This article aims to isolate, identify and screen phytochemistry a prepared extract of the fungus Penicillium purpurogenum, obtained from a polluted marine environment of São Luís-MA. The research was conducted at Laguna da Jansen located in the municipality of São Luís, Maranhão, Brazil. Four sediment collections were performed from May to September 2017, in the morning period. The samples were obtained from a depth of up to 73.5 cm with the aid of a metal dredger. The identification of the fungus followed methodologies of isolation and identification with phytochemical screening of extracts prepared by Matos methodology. Identification confirmed the presence of Penicillium purpurogenum. Phytochemical screening of extracts exhibited the presence of substance phenols, alkaloids, triterpenes, flavanones, flavanols, catechins, flavonoids and steroids, being of interest in the study of biological activities to be performed with the extracts obtained from the fungus under study. Finally, the results obtained in this study ensure a class of chemical constituents, identified by phytochemical screening, which encourage studies of biological activities with the extracts obtained ensuring a potential for applicability of the bioproduct. |

La investigación se llevó a cabo en Laguna da Jansen ubicada en el municipio de San Luís, Maranhão, Brasil. De mayo a septiembre de 2017 se realizaron cuatro colecciones de sedimentos en el período matutino. Las muestras se obtuvieron a partir de una profundidad de hasta 73,5 cm con la ayuda de una draga de metal. La identificación del hongo siguió metodologías de aislamiento e identificación con cribado fitoquímico de extractos preparados por la metodología Matos. La identificación confirmó la presencia de Penicillium purpurogenum. El cribado fitoquímico de extractos exhibió la presencia de sustancias como fenoles, alcaloides, triterpenos, flavonoides, flavonols, catequinas, flavonoides y esteroides, siendo de interés en el estudio de las actividades biológicas a realizar con los extractos obtenidos de los hongos en estudio. Por último, los resultados obtenidos en este estudio aseguran una clase de componentes químicos, identificados por cribado fitoquímico, que fomentan estudios de actividades biológicas con los extractos obtenidos asegurando un potencial de aplicación del bioproducto. Este artigo objetiva o isolamento, identificação e triagem fitoquímica de um extrato preparado do fungo Penicillium purpurogenum, obtido de um ambiente marinho poluído de São Luís-MA. A pesquisa foi realizada na Laguna da Jansen localizada no município de São Luís, Maranhão, Brasil. Foram realizadas 4 coletas do sedimento no período de maio a setembro de 2017, no período matutino. As amostras foram obtidas de uma profundidade de até 73,5 cm com auxílio de uma draga metálica. A identificação do fungo seguiu metodologias de isolamento e identificação com triagem fitoquímica dos extratos preparados por metodologia de Matos. A identificação confirmou a presença de Penicillium purpurogenum. A triagem fitoquímica dos extratos exibiu a presença de substâncias como: fenóis, alcaloides, triterpenos, flavononas, flavonóis, catequinas, flavonóides e esteróides, sendo de interesse no estudo de atividades biológicas a serem realizadas com os extratos obtidos do fungo em estudo.
