Enzymatic hydrolysis of eucalyptus biomass for bioethanol production: a bibliometric analysis

Resumo: The energy matrix in the Brazilian and world scenarios has undergone significant changes during the last decades. Due to oscillations in the price of the oil barrel and its derivatives, the study of alternative energies has been intensifying. In this context, the production of second generation bioethanol has been considered as a way to meet this demand. Besides being able to partially solve the dependence of the use of fossil fuels, this technology stands out for utilizing lignocellulosic industries residues, adding value to this material. This article consists of a bibliometric review of this application, giving an overview of the advances made to date. A quantitative analysis of the articles found in the Web of Science database was carried out, followed by a qualitative analysis. Subsequently, the convergences and divergences between the articles were identified. The results demonstrate that some improvements are still needed in the process, however the technique is feasible and advantageous in the production of bioethanol.

Con las oscilaciones del precio del barril de petróleo y sus derivados, el estudio de energías alternativas viene intensificándose. En este contexto, la producción del bioetanol de segunda generación ha sido considerada una forma de suplir esta demanda. Además de poder resolver en parte la dependencia del uso de combustibles fósiles, esta tecnología se destaca por aprovechar residuos industriales lignocelulósicos, agregando valor a este material. Este artículo consiste en una revisión bibliométrica sobre esa aplicación, trayendo un panorama general de los avances realizados hasta el presente momento. Se realizó así un análisis cuantitativo de los artículos encontrados en la base Web of Science y posteriormente un análisis cualitativo. Hecho esto, se identificaron las convergencias y divergencias entre los artículos. Los resultados demuestran que algunas mejoras todavía son necesarias en el proceso, pero que la técnica es viable y ventajosa en la producción de bioetanol.A matriz energética nos cenários brasileiro e mundial sofreram alterações significativas ao decorrer das últimas décadas. Este artigo consiste em uma revisão bibliométrica sobre essa aplicação, trazendo um panorama geral dos avanços realizados até o presente momento. Realizou-se assim uma análise quantitativa dos artigos encontrados na base Web of Science e posteriormente uma análise qualitativa. Feito isso, foram identificadas as convergências e divergências entre os artigos.
