Resumo: Family farming is fundamental for the sustainable economic development of rural areas (Lima & Wilkinson, 2002), having great importance in the absorption of labor, in the generation of jobs and in the local, territorial food, nutritional and productive production of peoples. rural and urban areas (Gomes, 2017). The works developed in the Brazilian agrarian communities are of fundamental importance for the country's economy, essentially, in the contemporary world, for small rural communities. Starting from this point, the objective of this work was to identify and evaluate the socioeconomic characteristics and the profile of farmers in the Tracateua community, located in the municipality of Moju (PA). The study was developed in the Tracateua community, municipality of Moju, State of Pará, which is located at the Embrapa branch, at km 30 of PA 150, located approximately 38 km from the municipality's headquarters (Moju) and 295 km from the city of Belém In the community of Tracateua, municipality of Moju, there is no reserve of labor to dedicate to family farming. The products most produced in the community are cassava, corn, beans, rice and passion fruit, with cassava being the main product, sold in the form of flour. As for the relationship between the studied variables, the correlation between them can be considered average. The main socioeconomic factors that stand out the most are: the relationship of time in the community with the family's monthly income, other incomes, size of the property, education of the head of the family and area of cultivation and the Age of the head of the family influences the number of children.

Los trabajos desarrollados en las comunidades agrarias brasileñas son de fundamental importancia para la economía del país, esencialmente, en el mundo contemporáneo, para las pequeñas comunidades rurales. A partir de este punto, el objetivo de este trabajo fue identificar y evaluar las características socioeconómicas y el perfil de los agricultores de la comunidad Tracateua, ubicada en el municipio de Moju (PA). El estudio se desarrolló en la comunidad Tracateua, municipio de Moju, Estado de Pará, que se ubica en el ramal Embrapa, en el km 30 de la PA 150, ubicado aproximadamente a 38 km de la sede del municipio (Moju) y a 295 km de la ciudad de Belém. En la comunidad de Tracateua, municipio de Moju, no existe reserva de mano de obra para dedicar a la agricultura familiar. Los productos más producidos en la comunidad son yuca, maíz, frijoles, arroz y maracuyá, siendo la yuca el principal producto comercializado en forma de harina. En cuanto a la relación entre las variables estudiadas, la correlación entre ellas puede considerarse media. Los principales factores socioeconómicos que más destacan son: la relación del tiempo en la comunidad con el ingreso mensual de la familia, otros ingresos, tamaño de la propiedad, educación del jefe de familia y área de cultivo y la Edad del jefe de familia influye en el número de niños.A agricultura familiar é fundamental para o desenvolvimento econômico sustentável do espaço rural (Lima & Wilkinson, 2002), tendo grande importância na absorção da mão-de-obra, na geração de empregos e na produção alimentar, nutricional e produtiva local, territorial dos povos rurais e urbanos (Gomes, 2017). Os trabalhos desenvolvidos nas comunidades agrárias brasileiras são de importância fundamental para a economia do país, essencialmente, na contemporaneidade, para as pequenas comunidades rurais. Partindo deste ponto, estabeleceu-se como objetivo desse trabalho identificar e avaliar as características socioeconômicas e o perfil dos agricultores na comunidade Tracateua, localizada no município de Moju (PA). O estudo foi desenvolvido na comunidade Tracateua, município de Moju, Estado do Pará, que está localizada no ramal da Embrapa, no km 30 da PA 150, situado a aproximadamente 38 km da sede do município (Moju) e 295 km da cidade de Belém. Na comunidade de Tracateua, município de Moju, não há reserva de mão de obra para dedicar à agricultura familiar. Os produtos mais produzidos na comunidade são a mandioca, o milho, o feijão, o arroz e o maracujá, sendo a mandioca o principal produto, vendido na forma de farinha. Quanto à relação entre as variáveis estudadas, a correlação entre elas pode ser considerada média.
