Resumo: | Introduction: The counting of the number of steps is a great advantage to assess behaviors related to the health indicators of the population, including school-age children. Objective: To analyze the quality of time index between the number of daily steps, life and body life. Methodology: This is a cross-sectional study with two classes of the 1st year of a municipal school in Aracaju, Brazil. The sample consisted of 31 students of both sexes aged between 6 and 8 years. The number of steps was performed using pedometers. Anthropometric information on weight and height, quality of life (AUQEI questionnaire), daytime sleepiness (Pediatric Daytime Sleepiness Scale) and sleep time (daily record) were collected. Descriptions and guarantees were performed. Results: Most children had a good quality of life and enough sleep time. We observed life and positive evaluation between the number of steps in school and quality quality scoreho; p = 0.01). Conclusion: The number of steps in school is correlated with children's quality of life. , are more studies that help to improve the relationship of the number of steps in the school environment. |

Objetivo: Analizar la correlación entre el número de pasos diarios, el índice de masa corporal, la calidad de vida y el tiempo de sueño de los escolares. Metodología: Se trata de un estudio transversal con dos clases del 1º año de una escuela municipal de Aracaju, Brasil. La muestra estuvo conformada por 31 estudiantes de ambos sexos con edades comprendidas entre los 6 y 8 años. El número de pasos se obtuvo mediante podómetros. Se recogió información antropométrica sobre peso y talla, calidad de vida (cuestionario AUQEI), somnolencia diurna (Pediatric Daytime Sleepiness Scale) y tiempo de sueño (registro diario). Se realizaron análisis descriptivos y de correlación. Resultados: La mayoría de los niños tenían una buena calidad de vida y suficiente tiempo de sueño. Observamos una correlación moderada y positiva entre el número de pasos dados en la escuela y el puntaje de calidad de vida (Rho 0,50; p = 0,01). Conclusión: El número de pasos en la escuela se correlaciona positivamente con la calidad de vida de los niños. Sin embargo, se necesitan más estudios que ayuden a aclarar mejor la relación entre el número de pasos en el entorno escolar.Introdução: A contagem do número de passos tem sido uma grande vantagem para avaliar os comportamentos relacionados aos indicadores de saúde da população, inclusive em crianças com idade escolar. Objetivo: Analisar a correlação entre o número de passos diários, índice de massa corporal, qualidade de vida e tempo de sono de escolares. Metodologia: Trata-se de um estudo transversal com duas turmas do 1º ano de uma escola da rede municipal de Aracaju, Brasil. A amostra foi composta por 31 alunos de ambos os sexos com idade entre 6 e 8 anos. O número de passos foi obtido através de pedômetros. Foram coletadas informações antropométricas de peso e altura, qualidade de vida (questionário AUQEI), sonolência diurna (Pediatric Daytime Sleepiness Scale) e tempo de sono (registro diário). Foram realizadas análises descritivas e de correlação. Resultados: A maioria das crianças apresentaram boa qualidade de vida e tempo de sono suficiente. Observamos correlação moderada e positiva entre o número de passos na escola e o escore de qualidade de vida (Rho 0,50; p = 0,01). Conclusão: O número de passos na escola está correlacionado positivamente com a qualidade de vida de crianças.
