Analysis of clinical conditions and demographic profile of polytraumated patients attended by SAMU in the city of Belém of Pará, in the months of february to march 2016

Resumo: Objective: To describe the incidence of clinical conditions and the demographic profile of patients treated by the Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU), for traumatic reasons, in the city of Belém do Pará, in February and March 2016. Methodology: Cross-sectional study, quantitative and descriptive, having as source the attendance records of the SAMU of Belém do Pará. Only those that had identification of the reasons for the trauma of patients treated by the SAMU of the city of Belém, in February and March 2016, were included. Result: 944 records of accidents due to external causes were analyzed during the study period. As for clinical conditions, most patients had pressure values ​​above normal (49.9%), awake (62.4%), with oxygen saturation between 95 and 99% (52.3%), heart and respiratory rates within the normal range (75.6% and 47.9%, respectively) and with lesions in multiple body segments (26.9%). The most affected age group and sex were, respectively, 20 to 59 years old (71%) and males (66.9%). As for the level of consciousness, most men (12.8%), aged between 20 and 59 years (10%), were found to be drunk. The most prevalent reason for triggering was due to traffic accidents, which predominated in both sexes (50.8%) and in the age group from 20 to 59 years (74%). Conclusion: This reality found reinforces the need for dissemination of preventive measures capable of reducing the number of incidents, by government authorities on education, for example, in traffic, in schools, churches.

Metodología: Estudio transversal, cuantitativos y descriptivos, teniendo como fuente los registros de asistencia del SAMU de Belém do Pará. Solo se incluyeron aquellos que tenían identificación de los motivos del trauma de los pacientes atendidos por el SAMU de la ciudad de Belém, en febrero y marzo de 2016. Resultado: se analizaron 944 registros de accidentes por causas externas durante el período de estudio. En cuanto a las condiciones clínicas, la mayoría de los pacientes presentaban valores de presión por encima de lo normal (49,9%), despiertos (62,4%), con saturación de oxígeno entre 95 y 99% (52,3%), frecuencia cardíaca y respiratoria dentro del rango normal (75,6% y 47,9%, respectivamente) y con lesiones en múltiples segmentos corporales (26,9%). El grupo de edad y sexo más afectado fueron, respectivamente, de 20 a 59 años (71%) y varones (66,9%). En cuanto al nivel de conciencia, la mayoría de los hombres (12,8%), con edades comprendidas entre los 20 y 59 años (10%), se encontraron borrachos. El motivo de activación más prevalente se debió a los accidentes de tráfico, que predominó en ambos sexos (50,8%) y en el grupo de edad de 20 a 59 años (74%). Conclusión: Esta realidad encontrada refuerza la necesidad de la difusión de medidas preventivas capaces de reducir el número de incidentes, por parte de las autoridades gubernamentales en la educación, por ejemplo, en el tránsito, en las escuelas, en las iglesias.Objetivo: Descrever a incidência das condições clínicas e o perfil demográfico de pacientes atendidos pelo Serviço de Atendimento Móvel de Urgência (SAMU), por motivos traumáticos, na cidade de Belém do Pará, nos meses de fevereiro e março de 2016. Metodologia:  Estudo transversal, quantitativo e descritivo, tendo como fonte as fichas de atendimento do SAMU de Belém do Pará. Inclui-se apenas as que tinha identificação dos motivos do trauma de pacientes atendidos pelo SAMU do município de Belém, nos meses de fevereiro e março de 2016. Resultado: Foram analisados 944 registros de ocorrência de acidentes por causas externas, no período de estudo. Quanto às condições clínicas, a maioria dos pacientes apresentava valores pressóricos acima da normalidade (49,9%), acordados (62,4%), com saturação de oxigênio entre 95 e 99% (52,3%), frequências cardíaca e respiratória dentro da normalidade (75,6% e 47,9%, respectivamente) e com lesão em múltiplos segmentos corporais (26,9%). A faixa etária e o sexo mais acometidos foram, respectivamente, 20 a 59 anos de idade (71%) e o sexo masculino (66,9%). Quanto ao nível de consciência, boa parte dos homens (12,8%), de 20 a 59 anos (10%), foram encontrados alcoolizados. O motivo de acionamento mais prevalente foi devido a acidentes de trânsito, que predominou em ambos os sexos (50,8%) e na faixa etária de 20 a 59 anos (74%).
