Implementation of sustainable technologies in the construction industry - a bibliometric analysis

Resumo: | The construction industry (ICC) is one of the sectors that suffer the most pressure when it comes to sustainable development. However, it is a very important branch for the world economy in view of its global production and participation in the GDP of countries over the years. In recent years, the demand for the adoption of more sustainable practices, both in developed and developing countries, in this field has increased due to the opportunity of this segment to contribute in an intelligent way through the use of natural resources. In this sense, taking into account that among the 17 sustainable development goals (SDGs), three have direct impacts for the ICC, through a bibliometric review, this research aims to evaluate the implementations of sustainable technologies in this sector, using the concepts of SDGs For this, searches were made for scientific articles, in databases such as Web of Science, ProQuest, Scielo, Taylor & Francis, Scopus and Science Direct, in order to find articles that dealt with sustainable practices used in civil construction. The results show that in relation to technologies, the topic Energy Efficiency and water resources management appear as topics with the highest number of publications in recent years. |

Sin embargo, es una rama muy importante para la economía mundial en vista de su producción global y participación en el PIB de los países a lo largo de los años. En los últimos años, la demanda por la adopción de prácticas más sustentables, tanto en países desarrollados como en vías de desarrollo, en este campo se ha incrementado debido a la oportunidad de este segmento de contribuir de forma inteligente a través del uso de los recursos naturales. En ese sentido, teniendo en cuenta que entre los 17 objetivos de desarrollo sostenible (ODS), tres tienen impactos directos para el ICC, a través de una revisión bibliométrica, esta investigación tiene como objetivo evaluar las implementaciones de tecnologías sostenibles en este sector, utilizando los conceptos de los ODS. Para ello, se realizaron búsquedas de artículos científicos, en bases de datos como Web of Science, ProQuest, Scielo, Taylor & Francis, Scopus y Science Direct, con el fin de encontrar artículos que trataran sobre prácticas sustentables utilizadas en la construcción civil. Los resultados muestran que en relación a las tecnologías, el tema Eficiencia Energética y gestión de recursos hídricos aparecen como temas con mayor número de publicaciones en los últimos años.A indústria da construção civil (ICC) é um dos setores que mais sofrem pressão em se tratando do tema desenvolvimento sustentável. Entretanto, é um ramo muito importante para a economia mundial tendo em vista a sua produção global e participação no PIB dos países ao longo dos anos. Nos últimos a demanda por adoção de práticas mais sustentáveis, tanto nos países desenvolvidos como em desenvolvimento, nesse ramo tem aumentado devido a oportunidade desse segmento contribuir de uma maneira inteligente por meio do uso dos recursos naturais. Neste sentido, levando em conta que dentre os 17 objetivos do desenvolvimento sustentável (ODS), três apresentam impactos diretos para a ICC, por meio de revisão bibliométrica, esta pesquisa tem como objetivo avaliar as implementações de tecnologias sustentáveis nesse setor, utilizando os conceitos das ODSs. Para isso, foram feitas buscas por artigos científicos, em bases de dados como Web of Science, ProQuest, Scielo, Taylor & Francis, Scopus e Science Direct, com o objetivo de encontrar artigos que tratassem sobre práticas sustentáveis utilizadas na construção civil.
