This research seeks to carry out a bibliographic review on the impacts and consequences of Covid-19 on the mental health of children and adolescents. The impact in children and adolescents lives caused by the current pandemic scenario, in which social isolation is one of the measures to contain the fast spread of the virus, is worth-mentioning as this population was exposed to raised levels of stress, irritability and insomnia. This way, the understanding of better viable adaptations for their caregivers is possible as they need better support. The pandemic scenario is a moment of enormous instability for the whole population, and this specific group demands special attention due to its important development phase. Psychology has a fundamental role in studying the impacts and consequences of Covid-19 that directly affect the health of children and adolescents, in addition to working on aspects that provide psychological well-being, both for this group and for society as a whole.
