Teachers in higher education in Bahia: An analysis from the Annual Relationship of Social Information (RAIS)

Resumo: This article presents research results using the Ministry of Labor and Employment's Annual Social Information (RAIS) database or source. The objective was to obtain information on the teaching staff of higher education institutions in Bahia and to analyze the profile of these periods in the period from 2008 to 2018. Eligible cut, no case of higher education teachers should be noted, without a selected period, Bahia won four more public education institutions, which have campuses in the interior of the state and for some time after employment for higher education teachers with master's degrees and doctorate and this insertion started at RAIS, although it represents some irregularity in the information about the public sector. The hypothesis that there was an increase in employment for higher education teachers in Bahia in the selected period, the objective of the work was analyzed if there was an increase and in what demographic characteristics. This exploratory study seeks to confirm some phenomena observed in the corridors of institutions, which is the increase in master documents and younger doctors and the predominance of women, but also as new policies for teacher remuneration, workload and degree. Nevertheless, the analysis of RAIS data, the results of this work are described on other databases such as E-MEC and GEOCAPES, which grant the number of masters and doctors in higher education institutions in the state.

El objetivo fue recopilar información sobre el personal docente de las instituciones de educación superior en Bahía y analizar su perfil en el período de 2008 a 2018. El corte elegido, en este caso, los docentes de educación superior se debe al hallazgo de que, en el período seleccionado , Bahía ganó cuatro instituciones de educación pública más, las cuales tienen campus en el interior del estado, lo que a su vez brindó vacantes de trabajo para profesores de educación superior con maestría y doctorado y que esta inserción se encontró en RAIS, aunque presenta cierta irregularidad en la información sobre el sector público. Considerando la hipótesis de que hubo un aumento de la ocupación de los docentes de educación superior en Bahía en el período seleccionado, el objetivo del estudio fue analizar si hubo tal aumento y en qué características demográficas. Este estudio exploratorio busca confirmar algunos fenómenos observados en los pasillos de las instituciones, que son el aumento de profesores y médicos más jóvenes y el predominio de mujeres, pero también las nuevas políticas de remuneración, carga de trabajo y calificaciones de los docentes. Sin embargo, a partir del análisis de los datos del RAIS, los resultados de este trabajo se enfocaron en otras bases de datos como E-MEC y GEOCAPES, que otorgan el número de maestrías y doctores en instituciones de educación superior en el estado.Este artigo apresenta resultados de pesquisa utilizando como fonte o banco de dados da Relação Anual de Informações Sociais (RAIS), do Ministério do Trabalho e Emprego. O objetivo foi levantar informações sobre o corpo docente das instituições de ensino superior da Bahia e analisar o perfil destes no período de 2008 a 2018. O recorte elegido, no caso docentes do ensino superior deve-se à constatação de que, no período selecionado, a Bahia ganhou mais quatro instituições de ensino públicas, que possuem campus pelo interior do estado que por sua vez oportunizou vagas de emprego para docentes do ensino superior com mestrado e doutorado e que esta inserção foi apurada na RAIS, embora ela apresente certa irregularidade nas informações sobre o setor público. Considerando a hipótese que houve aumento de emprego para docentes do ensino superior na Bahia no período selecionado, o objetivo do trabalho foi analisar se houve tal aumento e em quais características demográficas. Este estudo exploratório busca confirmar alguns fenômenos observados nos corredores das instituições, que é o aumento de docentes mestres e doutores mais jovens e predominância do sexo feminino, mas também as novas políticas de remuneração dos professores, carga horária de trabalho, e titulação.
