Geotechnologies applied to the technical course in the environment integrated to high school: a multidisciplinarity context

Resumo: | Technologies have shown an increasingly high degree of importance in people's lives, making it important to reflect on their use in education and the role of teachers and the methodologies currently used in the classroom. The use of pedagogical practices associated with new technologies, such as geotechnologies, bring students' relations with them closer together, promoting more attractive and efficient learning. Thus, this research aims to evaluate the potential of geotechnologies used in the teaching of Geoprocessing in a Technical Course in Environment Integrated to Secondary Education at IFMG and how these could assist the other course subjects related to environmental study. For this, an empirical research was carried out through a qualitative approach with a group of ten Professors who teach twelve subjects in the referred Course. The Teachers answered a questionnaire with questions related to their previous knowledge regarding the geodidactic resources involved in the teaching of geoprocessing such as, GNSS, Remote Sensing and GIS, their training and experience, in addition to questions related to the teaching environment. The results obtained with this research lead us to conclude that the use of geotechnologies can optimize the teaching of disciplines related to environmental study. But for that, efforts are needed in order to train and provide theoretical and practical support to teachers for the use of such resources so that they can have security and reliability in the use of geotechnological resources. |

El uso de prácticas pedagógicas asociadas a las nuevas tecnologías, como las geotecnologías, acerca la relación de los estudiantes con ellos, promoviendo un aprendizaje más atractivo y eficiente. Así, esta investigación tiene como objetivo evaluar el potencial de las geotecnologías utilizadas en la docencia del Geoprocesamiento en un Curso Técnico en Medio Ambiente Integrado a Bachillerato en IFMG y cómo estas podrían ayudar a las otras asignaturas del curso relacionadas con el estudio ambiental. Para ello, se realizó una investigación empírica a través de un enfoque cualitativo con un grupo de diez Profesores que imparten doce asignaturas en el referido Curso. Los Docentes respondieron un cuestionario con preguntas relacionadas con sus conocimientos previos sobre los recursos geodidacticos involucrados en la enseñanza del geoprocesamiento como, GNSS, Teledetección y GIS, su formación y experiencia, además de preguntas relacionadas con el entorno docente. Los resultados obtenidos con esta investigación nos llevan a concluir que el uso de geotecnologías puede optimizar la enseñanza de disciplinas relacionadas con el estudio ambiental. Pero para eso, se necesitan esfuerzos para capacitar y brindar apoyo teórico y práctico a los docentes en el uso de dichos recursos para que tengan seguridad y confiabilidad en el uso de los recursos geotecnológicos.As tecnologias têm apresentado um grau de importância cada vez mais elevado na vida das pessoas, tornando-se substancial refletir acerca da sua utilização na educação e do papel dos professores e das metodologias utilizadas, atualmente, em sala de aula. O uso de práticas pedagógicas associadas as novas tecnologias, como por exemplo as geotecnologias, aproximam as relações dos alunos com estas, promovendo um aprendizado mais atraente e eficiente. Assim, essa pesquisa tem como objetivo avaliar o potencial das geotecnologias utilizadas no ensino de Geoprocessamento em um Curso Técnico em Meio Ambiente Integrado ao Ensino Médio do IFMG e como estas poderiam auxiliar as demais disciplinas do curso relacionadas ao estudo ambiental. Para isso foi elaborada uma pesquisa empírica através de uma abordagem qualitativa com um grupo de dez Professores que lecionam doze disciplinas no referido Curso. Os Professores responderam a um questionário com questões relacionadas aos seus conhecimentos prévios em relação aos recursos geodidáticos envolvidos no ensino do geoprocessamento tais como, GNSS, Sensoriamento Remoto e SIG, sua formação e experiência, além de questões relacionadas ao ambiente de ensino. Os resultados obtidos com essa pesquisa nos levam a concluir que o uso das geotecnologias pode otimizar o ensino das disciplinas relacionadas ao estudo ambiental.
