Resumo: Objective: To discuss the repercussions on the mental health of people living with chronic kidney disease in renal replacement therapies. Method: Integrative literature review. Data were obtained from the Higher Education Personnel Improvement (CAPES) database: Medical Literature and Retrivial System online (MEDLINE), Excerpta Medica Database (EMBASE), Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO) and Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL), using the thesaurus: Chronic Renal Failure; Renal Dialysis; Mental Health. A time frame from 2015 to 2020 was determined for manuscript eligibility. After applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 10 articles were selected for the construction of this study. Results: It was found that the occurrence of depression in this population ranges from 27% to 100%; the rate of anxiety disorders ranged from 25.2%-35.5%; and the occurrence of hospitalization due to psychiatric problems in individuals with chronic kidney disease is significant, with a high rate of suicidal ideation ranging from 21.5% to 37% in those undergoing renal replacement therapy. Research, Society and Development2022-01-17info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/2541710.33448/rsd-v11i2.25417Research, Society and Development; Vol. 11 No. 2; e3711225417Research, Society and Development; Vol. 11 Núm. 2; e3711225417Research, Society and Development; v. 11 n. 2; e37112254172525-3409reponame:Research, Society and Developmentinstname:Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)instacron:UNIFEIporhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/25417/22272Copyright (c) 2022 Tiago Belo Amaral; Claudia Mara de Melo Tavareshttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessAmaral, Tiago Belo Tavares, Claudia Mara de Melo 2022-02-07T01:42:50Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/25417Revistahttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/indexPUBhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/oairsd.articles@gmail.com2525-34092525-3409opendoar:2024-01-17T09:43:42.024441Research, Society and Development - Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)false
