Bath of the newborn: an analysis of videos expressed on YouTube

Resumo: Introduction: mothers usually express doubts about the newborn's bath and seek information in the information technologies. Therefore, it is questioned: How is the newborn bath content expressed in YouTube videos? Objective: to analyze the content of YouTube videos about bathing the newborn and discuss it with the scientific literature. Methodology: a study supported by the method of analysis of moving images whose collection was carried out on the YouTube website with the keyword “newborn bath” and time cut from 2016-2018. 61 videos were found and evaluated. Results: neutral liquid soap, location, water temperature and quantity, frequency and duration of the bath were the main recommendations of the videos. Conclusion: given the inconsistencies of the recommendations, it is necessary that prenatal care and accommodation are used as a space for health education with a demonstration of the bathing technique and necessary care to prevent risks and discomfort for the newborn.

Ante eso, hay que cuestionarse: ¿cómo el contenido baño del recién nacido es expreso en videos de YouTube? Objetivos: Analizar el contenido de los videos de YouTube acerca del baño del recién nacido y discutirlo con la literatura científica. Metodología: Estudio apoyado en el método de análisis de imágenes en movimiento cuya colecta fue realizada en el sitio web YouTube con la palabra clave “baño del recién nacido” y recorte temporal de 2016-2018. Fueran localizados y evaluados 61 videos. Resultados: Jabón líquido neutro, local, temperatura y cantidad de agua, frecuencia y duración del baño fueran las principales recomendaciones de los videos. Conclusión: Dadas las inconsistencias de las recomendaciones, se hace necesario que la atención prenatal y el alojamiento conjunto sean utilizados como espacio para educación en salud con demostración de la técnica del baño y los cuidados necesarios para la prevención de riesgos e incómodos para el recién nacido.Introdução: mães costumam expressar dúvidas quanto ao banho do recém-nascido e buscam informações nas tecnologias de informação diante disso questiona-se: Como o conteúdo banho do recém-nascido é expresso nos vídeos do YouTube? Objetivo: Analisar o conteúdo dos vídeos do YouTube acerca do banho do recém-nascido e discuti-lo com a literatura científica. Metodologia: estudo apoiado no método de análise de imagens em movimento cuja coleta foi realizada no sítio eletrônico YouTube com a palavra-chave “banho do recém-nascido” e recorte temporal de 2016-2018. Foram localizados e avaliados 61 vídeos. Resultados: sabonete líquido neutro, local, temperatura e quantidade da água, frequência e duração do banho foram as principais recomendações dos vídeos.
