Analysis of teaching and learning of chemical transformations in national publications

Resumo: The objective of this research is to present an analysis carried out in the annals of the National Chemistry Teaching Meeting (ENEQ) and in the editions of the Journal Química Nova na Escola (QNEsc), between 2008 and 2018, on the topic of chemical transformations. For the analysis, a bibliographic research was carried out in the annals and in the editions of the journal in order to detect how has been occurring the teaching and learning of the topic of chemical transformations in Basic and Higher Education. The bibliographic research was carried out in four stages: 1) Selection of the annals and editions of the journal QNEsc for study; 2) Data collection through the collection of complete papers, abstracts and articles that address the topic of chemical transformations; 3) Selection of the complete papers, abstracts and articles from their full reading, and elimination of those that had no relation with the topic researched; 4) Analysis of the complete papers, abstracts and articles selected from three dimensions. Of the total, 82 publications were found in the sources investigated and the results indicate that: the number of publications found was not expressive, because of a total of 5,169 publications, only 6.49% corresponded to the subject investigated; most of the publications are empirical, with a qualitative approach, centered on the macroscopic aspects of the chemical transformations and are destined to Basic Education; the theoretical basis most used by the authors was the theory on chemical transformations, with emphasis on specific contents related to the researched subject; the main results of the researches present differentiated teaching proposals, since most of the publications presented activities with this bias in the classroom, in this manuscript we will describe some and their main contributions. By means of the study carried out, it is concluded that the number of publications on this subject is still insufficient, and it is necessary to carry out more research on the topic of chemical transformations, mainly considering the three levels of representation of matter.

Para el análisis, se realizó una investigación bibliográfica en los anales y en las ediciones de la revista con el objetivo de detectar cómo viene ocurriendo la enseñanza y aprendizaje del tópico de transformaciones químicas en la Educación Básica y Superior. La investigación bibliográfica se realizó en cuatro etapas: 1) Selección de los anales del ENEQ y ediciones de la revista QNEsc para estudio; 2) Recolección de los datos por medio del levantamiento de trabajos completos, resúmenes y artículos que abordan el tópico de transformaciones químicas; 3) Elección de los trabajos completos, resúmenes y artículos a partir de su lectura integral, y eliminación de los que no presentaban relación con el tópico investigado; 4) Análisis de los trabajos completos, resúmenes y artículos seleccionados a partir de tres dimensiones. Al total resultaron 82 publicaciones en las fuentes investigadas y los resultados apuntan que: el número de publicaciones encontradas no fue expresivo, pues de un total de 5.169 publicaciones, sólo el 6,49% corresponde al asunto investigado; la mayor parte de las publicaciones presentan naturaleza empírica, con abordaje cualitativo, centrada en los aspectos macroscópicos de las transformaciones químicas y son destinadas a Educación Básica (Enseñanza Media); la base teórica más utilizada por los autores fue la teoría sobre transformaciones químicas, con énfasis en contenidos específicos relacionados al tema investigado; los principales resultados de las encuestas presentan propuestas de enseñanza diferenciadas, ya que gran parte de las publicaciones presentaban actividades con este sesgo en el aula, en este manuscrito describiremos algunas y sus principales contribuciones. Por medio del estudio realizado, se concluye que aún es insuficiente el número de publicaciones sobre este asunto, siendo necesario la realización de más investigaciones sobre el tema de transformaciones químicas, principalmente contemplando los tres niveles de representación de la materia.O objetivo desta pesquisa é apresentar uma análise realizada nos anais do Encontro Nacional de Ensino de Química (ENEQ) e nas edições da Revista Química Nova na Escola (QNEsc), entre o período de 2008 e 2018, sobre o tópico de transformações químicas. Ao total resultaram 82 publicações nas fontes investigadas e os resultados apontam que: o número de publicações encontradas não foi expressivo, pois de um total de 5.169 publicações, apenas 6,49% corresponde ao assunto investigado; a maior parte das publicações apresentam natureza empírica, com abordagem qualitativa, centrada nos aspectos macroscópicos  das transformações químicas e são destinadas a Educação Básica (Ensino Médio); a base teórica mais utilizada pelos autores foi a teoria sobre transformações químicas, com ênfase em conteúdos específicos relacionados ao tema investigado; os principais resultados das pesquisas apresentam propostas de ensino diferenciadas, visto que grande parte das publicações apresentavam atividades com este viés em sala de aula, neste manuscrito descreveremos algumas e suas principais contribuições.
