Resumo: | The study aimed to analyze the profile of professors in medical graduation training in Piauí, considering the growing number of vacancies for admission to the course. Based on the information available on the websites of the medical schools, the names of the professors were collected and, later, the profile was verified through the curriculum registered in the Lattes platform, of the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq). To contemplate the analysis, the following information was analyzed: links and length of teaching experience, gender, education and academic qualifications. The information was organized in Excel spreadsheets. Of the 315 curricula accessed, 140 teachers are female and 175 male. With regard to academic training, 211 are doctors, 89 from other training, 15 had no record. Regarding academic degrees, 123 are doctors, 77 are masters, 95 are specialists, 4 are post-docs and 16 are unregistered. Regarding teaching time, we found that there were teachers with 10 years of teaching, 1 and 5 years, 5 to 10 years of teaching and professionals with up to 1 year of experience in the classroom, some of which are not available. In employment relationships, professionals with 1 and 3 jobs, 4 and 6 jobs, more than 6 jobs, others without records were obtained. Through the analysis of the professors' profile, it was possible to draw an overview for the identification of weaknesses in the process of medical training in Piauí, so that it is possible to resolve them and graduate doctors with the profile that is recommended by the Diretrizes Nacionais Curriculares. |

Con base en la información disponible en los sitios web de las facultades de medicina, se recopilaron los nombres de los profesores y, posteriormente, se verificó el perfil a través del plan de estudios registrado en la plataforma Lattes, del Consejo Nacional de Desarrollo Científico y Tecnológico (CNPq). Para contemplar el análisis se analizó la siguiente información: vínculos y antigüedad docente, género, formación y titulación académica. La información se organizó en hojas de cálculo de Excel. De los 315 planes de estudio a los que se tuvo acceso, 140 profesores son mujeres y 175 hombres. En cuanto a la formación académica, 211 son médicos, 89 de otra formación, 15 no tenían registro. En cuanto a títulos académicos, 123 son médicos, 77 son maestrías, 95 son especialistas, 4 son posdoctorados y 16 no están registrados. En cuanto al tiempo lectivo, encontramos que existen docentes con 10 años de docencia, 1 y 5 años, 5 a 10 años de docencia y profesionales con hasta 1 año de experiencia en el aula, algunos de los cuales no están disponibles. En las relaciones laborales se obtuvieron profesionales con 1 y 3 puestos, 4 y 6 puestos, más de 6 puestos, otros sin antecedentes. A través del análisis del perfil de los profesores, fue posible trazar un panorama para la identificación de las debilidades en el proceso de formación médica en Piauí, para que sea posible resolverlas y graduar a los médicos con el perfil que recomienda la Diretrizes Nacionais Curriculares.O estudo teve como objetivo analisar o perfil dos docentes na formação de graduação médica no Piauí, considerando o crescente número da oferta de vagas para ingresso no curso. Baseado nas informações disponibilizadas nos sites das escolas médicas, os nomes dos docentes foram coletados e, posteriormente, verificado o perfil por meio do currículo cadastrado na plataforma Lattes, do Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico (CNPq). Para contemplar a análise, foram analisadas as seguintes informações: vínculos e tempo de experiência docente, gênero, formação e titulação acadêmica. As informações foram organizados em planilhas no Excel. Dos 315 currículos acessados, 140 docentes são do sexo feminino e 175 do sexo masculino. Com relação a formação acadêmica, 211 são médicos, 89 de outras formações, 15 não tinham registro. Sobre a titulação acadêmica, 123 são doutores, 77 mestres, 95 especialistas, 4 pós doutores e 16 sem registro. Sobre o tempo de docência, obtivemos que haviam docentes com 10 anos de docência, 1 e 5 anos, 5 a 10 anos de docência e profissionais com até 1 ano de experiência de sala de aula, alguns não constam dados. Nos vínculos de trabalho, obteve-se profissionais com 1 e 3 vínculos, 4 e 6 vínculos, mais de 6 vínculos profissionais, outros sem registros. Através da análise do perfil dos docentes foi possível traçar um panorama para a identificação das fragilidades no processo de formação médica no Piauí, para que seja possível solucioná-las e egressar médicos com o perfil que é preconizado pelas Diretrizes Nacionais Curriculares.
